CSITAN organises AGI: Doom or Boon for Homo sapiens this Wednesday

CSIT Association of Nepal, in association with Russian Center of Science & Culture Kathmandu, is organizing a two hour seminar on the topic “AGI: Doom or Boon for Homo sapiens”  on Wednesday, 26 August, 2015 (९ भाद्र २०७२). The program will focus to get views of young AI researchers in Nepal regarding super AI. Their views, are they against super AI or support super AI developments and experiments? The program will be held from 3:00 PM to 5 Pm at Russian Center of Science & Culture Kathmandu, Kamalpokhari, Kathmandu. The program details are mentioned below. Talking briefly about AGI, it is a machine that can perform any intellectual task that a human being can. Should AGI be further developed or be slowed of pace? The world has been divided into two halves – researchers for or against AGI. Will the machines beat the humans and suppress us? Or their development will bring us intelligent servants?”
